Drainage & concrete culvert installation

Endrick were contracted to improve ground conditions ahead of a new concrete culvert installation by consolidating soft clay soils through vertical band drainage and surcharging. The works included the design and construction of a temporary piling platform, installation of 854 band drains to 11m depth, settlement monitoring, and piezometer testing. Delivered during an exceptionally wet winter, the team implemented robust surface water management and adapted working methods to ensure successful ground consolidation despite challenging conditions.
